Writing Prompt 9: A Second Chance
I believe there are many events in my life where I have felt that I could have done something different if I had a second chance. And since there has been many times when that has happened, I don't recall every single one.
I think the most common events are when something happens and then minutes later after the conversation ended, something comes to your mind and you wish you said that instead.
For me, if I had a second chance, I would probably use it to take back some words I might have said. Simply because it could have hurt a friend's feelings and I was angry. Chances are, you probably said sorry after a day or when you saw them again, which is a relief.
I think that second chances are not guaranteed. You don't know if you are going to have another opportunity to prove that you really want something or that you value someone's friendship. I think that you should be careful with the choice of words you use. You still have to speak up your mind, but with respect towards others and yourself. If you ruin something, then you have to solve it yourself and don't wait for a second chance.
