Writing Prompt 1: Loyal Relative/Friend

 

   Happy New Year! Today's writing will be about loyalty. What does loyalty mean to you? Have you ever had someone not be loyal to you? I will write what I think is loyalty.

 

   Loyalty for me is when you respect someone and they respect you. When you have a friend and you share with them something that is important to you and they remain loyal and they don't tell anyone else your secrets if you don't want to. Being loyal to someone means that you give them your support and be with them through tough times.

 

  Do you have any memories or experiences when a friend or family has been loyal to you when you were having trouble with something? I think that when you are sad and not feeling very good, having a person you care so much about, is there for you. They can be your parents, a sibling, or your best friends. And there is nothing better than telling them what is wrong and they will try to cheer you up. Of course, you will feel like the world will end at that moment, but what feels incredible is when you are laughing and talking with your friends and you can't thank them enough for sticking with you when times seem hard.

 

   I have really few close friends. I mean, you can interact with others and talk with them and always be nice, but there has to be certain people in which you can fully trust and talk with them about anything. Having someone to talk to is a great gift. Your parents, friends, siblings. You can always show your love and appreciation by being honest with them, respecting them, and being loyal to them. Support them in their decisions. You can absolutely say what you think, but in the end, it's their decision. A decision which you have to support or if you don't agree at all, make them realize and be with them.

 

   Everyone might have a different perspective of what loyalty means. But it

surely means support and respect. Be nice to everyone and when someone tells you a secret... Shhh! Don't say, because it isn't you who has to. Be loyal to everyone, it doesn't matter if they are not the nicest people. Be yourself. Someone who is honest and respectful. It's the greatest when you have people around you in which you can trust. But most importantly, accept and love yourself, and then love others and support them.
