Writing Prompt 7: First Impression
What is the danger of making a first impression? First impressions are important. It determines what you want out of the situation. Companies or whoever is hiring you won't care if you made a mistake when you first met. They don't want to know your problems, they want you to show on time, show manners, and work efficiently.
Maybe, if you have a bad first impression and you demonstrate that you really care for the job, then you might have a second shot at it. But, if you really care about it, why should you get late or show bad manners?
I believe that if you are very passionate about something, you can easily make your way through an interview and the boss will see that. Talking nonsense can probably ruin an interview and then cause a bad impression.
Easy ways for you to avoid making bad impressions is for you to be on time, don't sleep while waiting for your turn, and be respectful. Your impressing work will follow.
Take in consideration that you are who you are and you should be yourself when introducing yourself. Also when it is not about business. When introducing yourself to a possible new friend, always be you.
